Pavilions

KOSMOS BIENNALE is envisioned as a decentralized, hybrid biennale where participation is designed to be accessible from anywhere in the world.

Artists, curators, writers, filmmakers, cultural organizations, museums, galleries, universities, creative collectives, and interdisciplinary practitioners are invited to develop independent pavilions that contribute to the broader biennale while maintaining their own curatorial vision and identity.

Participation may take place in two formats:

Virtual Pavilion

Participants may curate a fully virtual pavilion, presenting exhibitions, films, publications, talks, performances, research projects, and interdisciplinary initiatives through the central KOSMOS BIENNALE digital platform, making their work accessible to a global audience.

Country Pavilion

Participants may establish a Country Pavilion by organizing exhibitions, screenings, talks, workshops, performances, public programs, or other cultural events within their own country. These activities may take place in museums, galleries, universities, cultural institutions, independent art spaces, or public venues.

Each Country Pavilion operates independently while remaining connected to the central KOSMOS BIENNALE virtual platform, creating an internationally networked biennale where local initiatives become part of a shared global program.

This flexible model enables participants to contribute entirely online, through physical events in their own country, or by combining both approaches, fostering meaningful collaboration across geographical boundaries while respecting local cultural contexts.

As KOSMOS BIENNALE evolves, additional pavilion formats, curatorial themes, participation opportunities, and country chapters will be introduced in future editions.
